Repairs and fixes
When completing your monthly clean, we recommend doing a check of your grass to identify any tears, rips or holes in your grass. If you do notice any holes or tears in your grass it is important to get them repaired quickly so they don’t cause further damage.
We recommend regularly checking to ensure your artificial grass is draining properly, this can ensure you don’t get blockages or any drainage problems which can damage the grass.
Cleaning spillages off artificial grass
The best way to clean your grass after a spillage is to use a damp sponge or damp cloth to blot away the spillage or stain.
If the spillage requires a little more cleaning, either mix some water with a little bit of detergent and again blot the spillage or stain. Alternatively you can use some artificial grass cleaner to remove the spillage. Once the spillage has been cleaned use a hose to rinse away any excess product.
How to clean artificial grass with pets
If you have pets, then we recommend cleaning your artificial lawn more frequently to avoid any build up of odours.
If you do have a dog, cat or other pet that uses the artificial grass make sure you have proper drainage to ensure pet urine doesn’t settle on the grass and is properly drained. If it hasn’t been drained properly simply hose it away. Again, using a cleaner specifically designed for artificial grass will keep it smelling and looking great – even with pets.
If you have a pet that sheds a lot of hair, ensure to rake or brush away the hair regularly. Their hair can easily block the drainage system if it builds up so regularly check for blockages and ensure hair is regularly brushed and swept away.
